Important information regarding insurance for those employing carers in their homes

Unfortunately, due to changes in market conditions, we are no longer able to offer the carer employers/direct care insurance product going forward. However, please rest assured cover will remain in place until your current policy expires. Upon expiry, your insurance policy will then cease and will not be renewed.

The current policy includes employers liability insurance which is required by law if you employ carers in your home. We would recommend contacting your local authority to seek guidance on finding an alternative insurance policy as soon as possible to avoid any gaps in cover when your current policy expires. Alternatively, to help you find another provider for this cover, please visit the British Insurance Brokers Association website where you can search ‘find insurance’.
